One Game Dad 24: Painted Corners
The show continues, but I continue to struggle to express myself.
Communication between people is hard. We have all these methods for doing it, yet the closest we've come to ever creating telepathy is the novel. But we can't write novels for everything we want to share. Nor do we have the time to consume that much information. That leads to a lot of misunderstanding.
Egos must also be sated. They quickly interject themselves into any conversation and can lead to a lack of understanding, a dismissal of comprehension, or outright refusal to participate. And this is when simply discussing personal stuff, feelings and whatnot. That's nothing when politics, money, or culture are concerned.
Which is why I find myself painted into a corner this week. I'm unsure of how to move forward because apologizing feels like it'd be dismissing how I feel and negating those feelings. They're there and need to be addressed, they're not something that can be denied. Nor expected to go away.
Yes this is all very enigmatic but the fact is I don't like sharing personal details online. Even as I run a podcast that is ostensibly personal. There's still a limit to what I'll share. That said, this week I continued to play Assassin's Creed Origins. As usual you can find this episode on Twitch, Youtube, Stitcher, iHeartRadio and iTunes. This podcast is hosted by the Third Culture Kids network.
