Kids ran along the hallways and adults scurried after them. There were small screams of excitement or when someone tripped, and it all added to the air of anticipation. The latest tests were about to occur and everyone wanted to be there. The professor’s experiments were as much about her discoveries as they were a gathering of the dome as a community. Everyone there had been gathered with a singular purpose - exploration.
While some set off into the stars, or traversed the depths, some stayed in a single place and pushed their way through time. Professor Muhammedova was one. She took great pride in the her tests and made sure they presented a show for all. Some wondered at the need for such craftsmanship in her experiments but they could never deny the results nor the fact that her creations were often further along towards production than any others.
Annalee scuffed her feet as she made her way down corridor C14 towards the day’s event. Her head was down as she riffled through her bag checking on her pencils, erasers, pastels, charcoals, sketch pad, and other art supplies. She mumbled each to herself as she moved it about her bag and then again as she shifted everything once more in an effort to ensure everything was there.
