Destiny 2 Beta Shenanigans
My first run through the Destiny 2 beta including the Homecoming mission and the Inverted Spire Strike. No mic or video commentary, just pure gameplay. Originally streamed to Twitch from an Xbox One.
The Destiny 2 Beta is upon us and that means I'm attempting to get back into gaming. It is without a doubt more Destiny and with that I fear more grinding. I say fear because I don't have any time to dedicate to that very pursuit. Not that there's any grinding in the beta, but with a game like this as with any major time-sink there will be grinding.
I play games like Destiny for two reasons. 1) The story. 2) The mechanics. Destiny being a Bungie creation, like its predecessor Halo, is a game that works fantastically well. The movement, shooting, interface and other systems are smooth, intelligent and purposefully. The story though was lacking. But everything else kept me coming back.
The story and the purported changes to it for the sequel, Destiny 2, are why I'm continuing with the franchise. I'm giving it a chance. My only hope is that Bungie enables me to do more this time as a solo player. There's a lot to unpack there and that's a post for another time. So for now just enjoy an hour of me playing at being Captain America.
