One Game Dad 21: Daycare Vector Prime

One Game Dad 21: Daycare Vector Prime

Children are breeding grounds for disease. No more so than when they congregate with one another.

I'm not saying anything other parents don't already know this. Anyone who's spent any time around children who attend school will find themselves with an immune system that's being tested more than usual. Such is my case.

My daughter is now at daycare five days a week, when her own immune system isn't being tested. Over the weekend she was ill, and because of that we kept her home on Monday and Tuesday. Which means I've been ill. If you listen or watch this episode you'll be able to tell right away. I'm nasal and struggle to concentrate.

It doesn't make for the best episode. But which of the 21 has been any good. It's making me rethink how I go about producing these videos and podcasts. I'm getting set to launch a third podcast, which will be part of the Third Culture Kids network. That show will be very focused and be scripted, with a greater focus on the video. But I do plan on releasing it as a podcast.

This illness is not the only bump in the road I'm experience in returning to work and starting my own business. Being an American citizen is increasingly becoming a hindrance to living and working abroad. Even once I gain Finnish citizenship it'll still be an issue. But hopefully one I'll overcome soon. And all I want to do is work, yet it's funny how the systems that be can be prohibitive of the very thing they want to promote.

It may come as a surprise but this week I didn't play The Witcher 3, but Assassin's Creed Origins. Namely because of a bug with my saved game that set me back an hour or two. That's time I don't have and really don't want to replay again. So we'll see if I ever finish the game. As usual you can find this episode on TwitchYoutubeStitcheriHeartRadio and iTunes.
