One Game Dad 38: The Excretioning!
There's a variety of fluids and sometimes solids that can come out of babies. Sometimes can also be constantly.
The Kid, for the past week, has had a stomach flu. She hasn't had a fever or other major symptoms and largely hasn't been in any pain, beyond that caused by teething. But boy has there been a lot coming out of various orifices.
So much so that I've been covered at times. It really does strip one of any ego you have because even though you may have poo all over your hands or vomit all over your face your primary concern is for the baby in your arms. Granted she's becoming less of a baby as she's now 17 months, but it's still this being who's so dependent upon you.
Don't worry, she's getting better and throughout has been well-hydrated. She's even eaten decently, not great but enough not to worry. Regardless it's still one of those times where you feel utterly helpless, and I've never felt so helpless and impotent than since becoming a parent.
A sick child and the Wife being away for work has meant I haven't accomplished as much as I would have liked this week. But such is the case of being an entrepreneur and a parent. Not that I really like the term entrepreneur for what I'm doing. I guess business owner would be... better? more accurate? less hyperbolic? You get my point.
Anyways I played Destiny 2 again this week, while the kid took a nap, as it's such an easy game to pick up and play for a few minutes. You can find this episode on Twitch, Youtube, Stitcher, iHeartRadio and iTunes. This podcast is hosted by the Third Culture Kids network.
